Pero también es cierto que la mujer de la derecha, al igual que el hombre de la derecha, entienden bien la importancia de atribuir sus acciones a la maternidad. María Correa Morandé, por ejemplo, explicó su actividad política con referencia a su condición de ser madre. Tal declaración ignora el hecho que también fue dirigente del departamento femenino del Partido Nacional (un partido de la derecha), embajadora a México, y una de las fundadoras del Poder Femenino, la organización de mujeres en contra de Allende.

La Secretaría Nacional de la Mujer publicó Amiga mensualmente y la distribuyó a nivel nacional y internacional por LAN Chile, la aerolínea nacional de Chile, y en las embajadas chilenas alrededor del mundo.
